Dr. Sliger’s first passion was teaching and before becoming a dentist she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts in Teaching at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and was a teacher and cheer/dance coach in Northwest Arkansas for seven years. She then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was named a pediatric honor student, received the distinct Pierre Fauchard USA Scholarship Award, the prestigious Dr. Arthur Iwerson Award and the John C. and Ruberta Weaver Award. She was also recognized as the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Honors Recipient for her leadership and volunteer service.
Dr. Sliger completed her pediatric dental residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri where she received extensive training in behavior management and special needs dentistry. She was the recipient of the Colgate resident scholarship.
Dr. Sliger is passionate about her profession and loves working with families. Her emphasis on noninvasive dentistry and her experiences as a teacher and mother bring an additional touch of compassion to provide all children a differentiated experience to fit their individual needs.
Dr. Sliger and her husband, Brent, have been married for ten years and enjoy spending time with their two amazing children, Garrett and Layla. Their favorite pastime is playing outdoors and calling those Hogs with their friends. Woo Pig Sooie!
